If you’re thinking about running an automated trading strategy, the first question shouldn’t be about returns. It should be: where does my money sit, and who can touch it?
Strike runs in your own Interactive Brokers account. So in this video I’m going to show you exactly what that means. What the algorithm can do, what it can’t do, and what protects you if something goes wrong.
Strike can trade. It can’t withdraw.
Here’s the simplest way to understand it.
You own the account. It’s in your name at Interactive Brokers. You can deposit any day, withdraw any day, and close the account any day. And you can log in and see every trade the moment it happens.
Strike gets trading permission. That means it can place buy and sell orders for U.S. stocks, following the rules. That’s it.
What Strike can’t do is just as important. It can’t withdraw your money. It can’t move money anywhere. It can’t change your bank details. The money only ever goes back to you.

Now let’s be honest about protection, because a lot of people get this wrong.
Interactive Brokers is a member of SIPC. SIPC protects your assets if the brokerage firm itself fails, up to its limits. You can look up the current limits at sipc.org.
What SIPC does not cover is market losses. If the stocks in your account go down, your account goes down. Nobody insures that. Not SIPC, not your broker, and not us.
So the structure protects you from the company running off with your money. It does not protect you from the market. That’s the real risk, and you should go in knowing it.
Your account. Your name. Your call.
So here’s the short version. With Strike, the money sits in your own Interactive Brokers account. The algorithm can place trades. It can’t withdraw. You can deposit, withdraw or close any day. SIPC covers broker failure, not market losses.
